The plot of the series The Real (TV series 2011):

The action of the series take place in our time. In the implementation of operational information on the capture of arms dealers killed three employees of the ORB (investigation bureau). The head of the department, Captain Grivin, is wounded and miraculously survives thanks to the sudden appearance of one of his officers, Leonid Vesnikov.

The day before, Vesnikov's wife had left him, and he decided to drown his sorrows in vodka. Vesnikov showed up for work the next morning in such a state and was suspended from the operation by Greenvin.

According to Greenwin's orders, Vesnikov was to be near the car with a young officer, Golyshev, to supervise the move to the hotel where the detention would take place.

But Vesnikov sensed in time that something was wrong in the hotel, and snatching a pistol from Golyshev rushed to help. At that time three of his comrades had already been killed by a bandit's bullet, and Vesnikov opened fire to kill two armed criminals.

On the fact of the shootout in the hotel, the USB is conducting a service check: Greenvin and Vesnikov face serious charges. Greenvin was accused of poorly planning the operation, which resulted in the deaths of three police officers, while Vesnikov was accused of exceeding his authority by opening fire without a warning shout or a shot.

In addition, for some reason Greenwin is being hunted by Albatros's men, the most influential criminal authority in the city. Greenwin lures Albatros's friends to Vesnikov's dacha, where he kills them in cold blood.

Vesnikov proposes to report the incident to Major Motovilov, deputy chief of the ORB. But Greenvin advises to get rid of the bodies as soon as possible, because they had no witnesses who started the first shooting.

While attempting to bury the bodies of Albatross's handmaidens in a nearby body of water, Greenvin and Vesnikov were detained by FSB officers. The FSB's secret special unit "Phalanx", which deals with the illegal arms trade, had long looked out for Grinvin and Vesnikov. In the past, they are officers of the special unit, passed hot spots and worked in the ORB, in life they were real best friends.

Falanga considered Grivin and Vesnikov ideal candidates for the role of secret agents to work in criminal communities. The target of the operation: Albatros' organized crime group, which controlled the port and dealt in arms.

After a thorough study of the candidates, the Phalanx's eyes fell on Vesnikov. Of course, unlike Grivin, he had less experience in operational work, but more of an army background. Before Leonid put a choice: either a life sentence for double murder, or cooperation with the FSB, with further full rehabilitation. Vesnikov chose the second, but as a true friend set a condition: Grivin must be released.

Thanks to his fighting qualities Vesnikov quickly infiltrates the security agency "Lord", which was part of the Albatross structures. Having approached Albatros, Vesnikov conducts his own investigation into the deaths of his comrades, and comes to a sad conclusion: his best friend Grievin was not who he claimed to be....
