Narrative:

Action of the film Autumn Marathon takes place in the late 70s of the last century in Leningrad. The talented translator Andrey Buzykin, a teacher at Leningrad University, collaborated with a Leningrad publishing house. In his personal life, Buzykin also had everything in order - a loving wife, an adult daughter, a mistress Alla, who worked for him as a typist.

However, Alla began to hint to Buzykin more and more often that she was no longer satisfied with the role of a mistress, she wanted more. But Buzykin was not going to change anything in his life.

However, leading a double life was also very difficult: his wife began to suspect her husband’s adventures, and it became increasingly difficult for Andrey to come up with excuses for his late return from work.

However, Andrey was unable to decide to leave one of the women. Thus, maneuvering between the two women, wanting to keep both, Buzykin ends up losing them…
