Narrative:

The action of the movie The fall of Berlin unfolds before the war, in 1941. Steelmaker Alexei Ivanov sets a world record for steelmaking. For his labor feat Alexei is presented to the high government award of the Order of the Red Banner.

The reporter Natasha Rumyantseva, with whom Alexei falls in love at first sight, is assigned to cover the life of the hero. But Ivanov cannot explain himself to the girl, he is summoned to Moscow to Comrade Stalin himself. The leader and teacher of all peoples Joseph Vissarionovich decided to personally talk to the record-breaking steelworker.

After the conversation with the leader, the shy and timid Alexei Ivanov gained determination, and returning home decides to tell Natasha that he loves her. It turns out that Natasha also loves Alexei. The lovers are happy: a bright future and new labor feats and accomplishments are ahead....

But these plans had to be postponed, because the war began. On the first day of the war, Alexei and Natasha are bombed. Alexei was severely wounded and ends up in hospital. He woke up only in September, when the enemy approached the gates of Moscow. Here in the hospital Alexei learns that his Natasha was taken to Germany by the Germans.
