The action of the movie takes place in our time in Russia. The main character of the movie, Konstantin, is the most sought-after lawyer in Ulan-ude, the capital of Buryatia.
Who earned himself the fame of the main local "solver", a man capable of solving practically any issue in the city.
The services of the "solver" were used by local criminals, as well as officials and law enforcement officers, so he was an important and respected person in Ulan-Ude. It seemed that there was no problem that could not be solved by the "solver", but one day it happened.
Konstantin's younger brother, Sanya (Kasha), who enjoyed his brother's authority, began to abuse his kinship with him and very soon earned a reputation in the city as a local outlaw. Not only the police, but also the local gangsters, to whom "Kasha" often crossed the road, looked askance at "Kasha".
Konstantin more and more often has to pull out of the police, or nightclub, where he could easily arrange a beating.
And finally, to pay his gambling debts. In the end, Konstantin's patience breaks down, and he promises his brother never to help him with anything again.
But one day a juvenile gopnik who ignored the warning of his thoughtful older brother commits a murder. This is the last straw in the local police chief's cup of patience.
Knowing that his brother will sooner or later pull the juvenile delinquent to freedom, the policeman turns to the local criminal authority Vita Cherny, with a request to permanently close the issue with "Kasha".
Having learned that Sanya in mortal danger, Konstantin, uses all his connections to help his brother, but as it turned out that it is possible to do only at the cost of his own life ...
