Plot:
Action of the film For Marx takes place in Russia during the economic crisis of 2010. Workers at one of the steel mills have not received their wages for several months, and the plant's management is threatening to carry out mass layoffs and cut the already meager wages.
Despite the fact that there was a trade union at the plant, it protected the interests of not the plant workers, but its owners, therefore, some foremen, shop managers and conscientious workers decided to leave the plant trade union and create their own independent trade union.
The workers were also prompted to make this decision by the fact that, according to secretly received information, subsidies were allocated from the state budget to support the industry, but the owners of the plant decided to spend this money on their own needs. For example, on buying expensive paintings to decorate the company's main office. And this at a time when most of the equipment at the plant was antediluvian, manufactured in distant Soviet times.
In addition, the plant had been polluting the environment for a long time, the level of air pollution was more than three times higher than the norm, but the owners of the plant, as always, did not have the money to buy cleaning filters.
These and other issues are planned to be raised by the plant activists during the rally, to which they call on all conscious workers and city residents to come. Having learned about this, the plant owner, the oligarch Pavel Sergeyevich, who is stuck in the 90s, decides to deal with the dissatisfied as was customary in the wild 90s. He orders his assistant to eliminate the main instigators of the riot, and without them the people will disperse on their own…
