The movie is set in 1944. After a tank battle, in one of the tanks the Red Army found a badly burned mechanic-driver, who gave signs of life. The soldiers took the tank driver to the hospital, although they did not believe that the doctors would be able to save him.

But contrary to all medical science, the tanker, who received 90% of the burns, quickly recovered, and soon there was not even a trace of the monstrous wounds on him.

The nameless tanker could not remember who he was, where he came from, he had no documents and the doctors called him Ivan Ivanovich Naydenov. The only thing Naidenov remembered was his tanker skills, and after correction, the military medical commission sent him back to the tank troops, rightly reasoning that amnesia would not prevent him from driving a tank.

But Naidenov's weirdness did not end there. He keeps saying that he hears the voices of tanks and tells his commanders about a certain "White Tiger", a German supertank that destroyed an entire tank battalion. At first, Naidenov's commanders and comrades thought his story was the result of insanity after a trauma.

But soon Naydenov's "delusion" about the "White Tiger" was confirmed by intelligence data. This supertank was also reported by a captured German officer. Information about the "White Tiger" immediately reported to the representative of the rate Marshal Zhukov.
