Narrative:
Jesus Christ is hiding with his disciples in the forest of Gethsemane. The disciples are sleeping peacefully, but Jesus is not sleepy. He knows very well what awaits him in the near future. He wakes his disciples and asks them to stay awake during these last hours.
The disciples had never seen their teacher so frightened. And Jesus Christ, knowing what bodily and mental torment awaited him, asked his heavenly father to carry this cup past him. At that time one of his disciples, Judas, came to tell the Jewish priests where the teacher was hiding. Judas received a generous reward of thirty pieces of silver for his report.
The high priest Caiaphas orders the soldiers to arrest Christ and bring Him to him for questioning. After some time, the bound and beaten Jesus is brought in for questioning. The main charge against him is that Jesus declared himself to be the son of God. Judas, feeling remorseful, demands the teacher's release and returns the money to the priests.
But it didn't help. Unable to cope with the mental anguish and nightmares that began to haunt him, Judas committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree.
Since Judea was under Roman rule at that time, the high priest could not execute the criminal himself. So in the morning Christ was taken to the Roman procurator. Claudia, the procurator's wife, asked her husband not to sentence Jesus to death, otherwise it would be a great disaster for them.
The procurator, after listening to the arguments of the high priest and talking to Christ, found no crime in his actions. Since Jesus was a subject of King Herod, he sent the priests to Herod to deal with the case. When the crowd had gone to Herod, the procurator was in thought.
Eleven years he'd been crushing riots in this filthy hole, and Caesar had already warned him twice that if any more blood was shed, the next one would be the blood of the procurator himself. Never in his life had he made a more responsible decision. For if Jesus was not executed, Caiaphas would organize a riot. If he is executed, the disciples of Christ will organize a riot.
But King Herod also did not see Jesus as a criminal, but only as a madman, and ordered him out of his sight. A huge crowd, led by Caiaphas, brought Jesus back to the procurator, demanding his death.
Mindful of Caesar's warnings, the procurator tries to find a strawman solution. Following his tradition of pardoning one criminal on the occasion of the Passover feast, the procurator turns to the crowd to see whom to pardon-Jesus or the savage murderer Barabbas. The crowd demands that Barabbas be released. But the procurator does not want to execute Jesus and demands only that he be severely punished.
After several hours of brutal beating, the bloody Jesus is brought to the palace to see the procurator. He shows Jesus to the crowd and asks them to consider this punishment sufficient for his "crime". But Caiaphas is not bowed down, and demands that Jesus Christ be crucified. The whole crowd behind the backs of the Jewish priests chant: "Crucify him!". The guards can no longer contain the anger of the angry crowd. And the prosecutor has no choice but to make this most difficult decision of his life....
