Plot:

Action of the film Personal number takes place at the beginning of the twenty-first century. While carrying out a special combat operation in Chechnya, the commander of the FSB special forces group, Major Alexei Smolin, being shell-shocked, is captured by Chechens. Threatening Smolin with reprisals against his daughter, the militants force Smolin to say on camera that it was his group that carried out a series of high-profile terrorist attacks on Russian territory.

The video recording of Smolin's "confession" was intended for the disgraced Russian oligarch Lev Pokrovsky. With this video, Pokrovsky wants to deflect accusations against himself of financing Chechen militants and at the same time compromise the Russian state security agencies and the president in front of the world community, so that he can return to Russia without hindrance. Miraculously, Alexey manages to escape from the clutches of the militants and get back to his own people.

For this purpose, a capsule with spent plutonium was secretly delivered from London to Moscow via the Latvian Bank, which, when detonated at a high altitude, would be dispersed over vast territories, causing strong radioactive contamination of the area. The operation was to begin with the capture of the Moscow circus by two groups of terrorists from Ansar Allah and Chechen fighters controlled by Pokrovsky.

Pokrovsky was promised that when the circus was captured, the Chechens would set the condition for the authorities that they would negotiate only with him. In this case, Pokrovsky would become the "savior" of the children and would be able to enter Russia on a white horse. Not knowing the full plan of the Ansar Allah terrorists, Pokrovsky willingly agreed to participate in the operation, but now he could be hindered by the escaped Major Smolin.

Pokrovsky instructs his henchman, Saulius Boykis, who is supposed to participate in the capture of the Moscow circus, to eliminate Smolin. In order to lure Smolin out, Boykis lures an entire class of children to the circus, in which the major's daughter studied. Having learned that his daughter is in the circus, which has been captured by terrorists, Alexei immediately goes to help.

Having killed several bandits, Smolin manages to free his daughter and the circus performers. At this time, the terrorists demand an armored personnel carrier and Western journalists from the authorities. Leaving the Chechens in the circus, the Arabs, threatening to blow up the circus with several thousand people, head to the airport in an armored personnel carrier. Having captured a transport plane there, they set a course for Rome and detonate an explosive device that should go off automatically if the plane descends to an altitude of 3,000 meters.

The Russian President gives the order to prevent the plane from leaving the country. Several fighters take off and escort the plane with terrorists, ready to open fire. The situation threatens to turn into a new Chernobyl, but Major Smolin manages to get into the hijacked plane.

Having destroyed the terrorists, he stops the explosive device a few seconds before the explosion and lands the plane at one of the military airfields of Belarus. At this time, Russian troops launch a missile attack on the base of the Ansar Allah militants, but its leaders managed to leave the base a few minutes before the attack…
