Plot of the film Blindage (2012 film):

The film takes place in June 1941 in Western Belarus. Under sudden and crushing attacks by the Wehrmacht, units of the Red Army are forced to retreat along the entire front, leaving large and small settlements to the enemy.

In the area of the village of Lyubashi, a rifle regiment took up defensive positions and tried to hold back the rapid onslaught of the Germans. But under enemy fire, a telephone cable was damaged, which led to the loss of control of the troops. The regiment's chief of communications, Captain Nikolai Khlebnikov, sent several of his signalmen to fix the break, but they all died without fixing the cable problem.

Then the captain goes to fix the problem himself. He manages to find a break in the cable and restore communication, but at that moment an ammunition explodes near him, and Khlebnikov, wounded, loses consciousness.

After some time, having come to his senses, Nikolai understands that all his comrades have died, and he himself has lost his sight as a result of his injury. In despair, the captain takes out a pistol to commit suicide, but at this time he is discovered by a local girl, Serafima.

Serafima helps Nikolai get to the dugout, which until recently housed the regiment's command post and from which the captain left on a mission. Soon two more "guests" appear in the dugout: the German deserter soldier Holz and the rural party activist Demidovich.

Serafima visits the dugout every day, bringing food to its inhabitants, but the captain understands that sooner or later the Germans will discover them, so he persuades the girl not to come to them, but, if possible, to help them contact the partisans.

Khlebnikov turned out to be right, the local policemen, the Pavlenki brothers, had been watching Serafima for a long time and were interested in where she went every day with her bundle. The younger Pavlenki decided to track down Serafima and followed her to the dugout, but here Khlebnikov and Holtz managed to neutralize the policeman.

However, the strange disappearance of his brother alarmed the elder Pavlenok, and he, realizing that it was connected with Serafima, seeks her arrest. For her connections with the partisans, the Germans threaten to hang the girl if she does not tell where they are hiding.

Having learned that Serafima is in danger of death, the inhabitants of the dugout decide to free Serafima, despite the fact that they will have to fight with many times superior enemy forces...
