Narrative:
The action of the series "There are no exes" takes place in our time. Twenty years ago operational officer Ilya Dementiev was infiltrated into Butyrin's criminal group, which was involved in drug trafficking.
Thanks to Dementiev's activities, law enforcement officers managed to eliminate the gang, and Butyrin himself and most of his accomplices received long prison sentences. But since some of the gangsters escaped punishment and could take revenge on Dementiev, the leadership decides to hide the operative.
Dementiev was officially pronounced dead, but in fact on other documents departed to Cyprus, where he lived quite well, working as a lifeguard at an expensive resort.However, as you know, there are no exes and one day Dementiev had to "resurrect" and return to his homeland.
During the arrest of a gang of drug traffickers killed the head of the department to combat illicit drug trafficking Sergei Mishin, who was Dementieva's own brother.

Given this circumstance, Dementiev's old friend Colonel Potapov asks him to accept the department, which was headed by Mishin and organize a search for his killer.Dementiev accepts the offer and comes to Moscow.
However, having delved into the essence of the case, he realizes that he signed up for this case for nothing. His brother was involved in dirty deeds and drug mafia, for which, apparently, he paid for it with his life, and for him it was a hard discovery.
But, Dementiev promised Potapov to find Mishin's killer, and had to fulfill this promise, only immediately afterwards Dementiev decides to leave Russia immediately.
However, a meeting with his ex-wife postpones this decision. Twenty years ago Dementiev, fearing for the life of his wife, deliberately abandoned her, not suspecting that she was pregnant. Now he learns that he has a nineteen-year-old daughter Yulia, who a few days ago left home ...
