Plot of the film Gypsy (1967 film):
The film takes place in 1942 on the Don. During the bombing of the farm, Klavdiya saw a German tank destroy a gypsy tent, and at night, returning home past that place, she heard a child crying.
Having picked up the gypsy child, Klavdiya gave him the Russian name Ivan and raised him as her own son. Every time gypsies passed by the farm, Klavdiya hid Vanya, fearing that they would recognize him as one of their own and take him away from her.
But one day, an elderly gypsy named Budulai appears on the farm. A former front-line soldier and blacksmith, he is looking for the grave of his wife and son who died during the war...
