Vietnam veteran Buck Matthews is released from prison after spending several years in prison for excessive self-defense and earning parole for good behavior.
In prison, he stood up for a rich cellmate, and now he was not far behind Buck. He invites Matthews to go with him to Miami, promising a rich and fun life. But Buck rejects this tempting offer and goes to his native seedy town. In this city, he spent his best years, his wife and little daughter were waiting for him here.
However, the town itself was not happy to see Buck back. The local Sheriff, without further ado, informed Matthews that he was not happy to see him back. And it would be better if he left town altogether.
Despite this intrusive "friendly" advice, Buck decides to stay. Now he will live quietly and calmly, trying not to get involved in any troubles. However, with his character, living quietly was difficult. Soon after arriving, Buck saves a nurse from rape and becomes a hero. But not for the sheriff and his family.
Because the rapists were members of a drug-dealing rocker gang. For years, these thugs had been terrorizing the city, and the police couldn't handle them. The sheriff himself covered for the bandits, taking his cut of their criminal activities. So now the lives of Buck and his family were worthless.
Realizing the threat, Buck gives in to his wife's persuasion and agrees to leave the city. But it was too late. The motorcycle bandits had not forgotten Buck's heroism and took cruel revenge, killing his wife and destroying his house. Now, Buck had nowhere to retreat, and he challenges the thugs...
