Plot:

The action of the series "Tiger's Trail" takes place in modern times in Russia. In a small town in the Far East, a criminal group of poachers operates, hunting Amur tigers. Police officers managed to obtain operational information that the poachers were soon going to organize a new tiger hunt in the area of the so-called Prokhladny Ruchey, where Pavel Shirokov worked as a gamekeeper.

A hereditary gamekeeper and an uncompromising fighter against poachers, Shirokov has already suffered more than once for his integrity: criminals burned down the house in which Shirokov's wife died. Now, after each skirmish with poachers, Shirokov's house could easily be shot at, or a report could be filed with the police for abuse of office.

Police Colonel Khazov suggests setting up an ambush for poachers at Prokhladny Ruchey and catching them red-handed during another tiger hunt. For this operation, Khazov decides to involve gamekeeper Shirokov, who knew the area around Prokhladny Ruchey like no one else.

Shirokov agrees with Khazov's proposal, but already in Taiga he understands that he has found himself in a trap, because the colonel turned out to be connected with the poaching mafia...
