Plot of the cartoon Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf:

The action of the cartoon takes place in the distant epic times in one sovereign state called the Far Far Away Kingdom. In this Far Far Away Kingdom, the Gray Wolf lived at court, who was an adviser to the local king-father. In addition to the wolf, the king had another adviser, his first and only minister.

The Far Far Away State was actively developing economically and culturally until its first minister got mixed up with a certain mystical creature – the Shadow. The Shadow used the minister to get the key to a secret room that contained a magic invisibility cap. The key to the room was always with the king, and it was very difficult to steal it.

Then the Shadow advises the first minister to head the kingdom himself by marrying his only daughter Vasilisa. The minister goes to the king and advises him to think about a successor, because the king is already old. At the same time, the minister actively hints to the king to give him his daughter in marriage. But the king does not want to hear about a successor yet, because there is no threat to the state yet, and he still has gunpowder in his powder flasks.

Here he decided to take part in a strongman contest, but the counterweight threw him high into the sky, and Vanya landed in front of the king's threshold. The king orders Ivan to be put in prison until the wedding. Sitting in confinement, Ivan hears someone's sobbing behind the wall. It was Vasilisa crying because her father wanted to marry her off to the first man she met, whom she had never seen. Ivan realized that he was that first man.

Ivan and Vasilisa promise each other not to marry each other. But the next day, when they meet in person, they fall in love at first sight. However, the Tsar-father, on the advice of the minister, decides to test his future son-in-law for professional suitability. He sends Ivan I don't know where to bring I don't know what within three days. The Gray Wolf volunteers to help Ivan in this hopeless matter.

While Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf are carrying out this impossible mission, the Minister and the Shadow steal the key from the Tsar and take possession of the Invisibility Cap. With the help of the magic cap, the ethereal Shadow takes possession of the Minister's body and begins to turn the Tsar and his heroes into shadows. But the future Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf return in time, having secured powerful fire support in the form of the Serpent Gorynych. The enemy was defeated, the kingdom was saved, and nothing could stop Ivan from marrying Vasilisa...
