Narrative:

It happened long ago in a wild forest, at a time when all domestic animals were wild. But the wildest was the cat, who walked by himself and wherever he wanted. Man was also wild, who in those distant times was the main enemy of all animals.

Everything changed only when the man met the woman. And when the woman lit a fire in their new home, all the wild animals were wary of this light. The first to go on reconnaissance to the human hearth was a wild dog, whom the woman treated with a bone, and then took into her service to guard the house and go hunting with her husband.

Following the dog, a horse came to the people, and then a cow, which the woman treated with hay. Now the man could hunt on a horse, and the cow was useful by giving milk.

And only one cat was in no hurry to go and serve people, because he was a cat who walked by himself and where he wanted. But one day he really wanted white, warm and probably very tasty milk and he came to a human house.

At first, the mistress categorically refused the cat a treat, but the cat promised that very soon she would not only change her opinion of him, but would praise him three times. After the first praise, she would no longer drive him out of her house, after the second praise, the cat would be able to warm himself by the fire as much as he wants, and after the third praise, the mistress would treat him to milk three times every day until the end of time...
