Plot Nevsky Season 2 (Test of Strength):

After his wife's conviction, Pavel Semenov resigned from the police. While his wife was serving her sentence, Semenov had to take care of his son. After all, service on the Nevsky, as Pavel had already seen, was associated with a great risk not only to health, but also to life.

However, an operative like Semenov did not have the chance to stay in civilian life for long. Due to new personnel changes, Semenov's main enemy, Colonel Arsenyev, loses his position as the head of the central police department on Nevsky.

And in his place is appointed Colonel Sergei Semenchuk, Semenov's former superior in his service in his district. An honest and courageous officer who went through Afghanistan in his youth, Semenchuk gets rid of Arsenyev's old corrupt personnel. And recruits honest operatives like Andrei Mikhailov, who persuades Semenov to return to the police.

However, despite being retired, Arsenyev does not calm down.

Through his corrupt connections in the police, the investigative committee and the prosecutor's office, he actively participates in the criminal life of the city. And he makes great efforts to return to his former position.

Meanwhile, the legendary killer "Architect", whom Semenov was thought to have finished off at the end of the first season, returns to the city. After the high-profile murder of an official from the Ministry of Defense, the FSB takes on "Architect". And since Semenov had been working on him for a long time, the security officers are trying to involve him in this case again.

At first, Semenov flatly refused to return to the topic of “The Architect,” but in exchange, the FSB officers promised to facilitate the early release of his wife Yulia from the penal colony.

Taking on this case for the second time, Semenov did not suspect that the “Architect” was very close, so close that no one would think of looking for him among these people...
