Plot of the series Prison Break season 1:

Chicago resident Lincoln Burrows has been sentenced to death for the murder of US Vice President Perez Stedman's brother. Parking lot surveillance cameras captured him holding a gun near the dead man's car. And pants with traces of Stedman's blood were found in his apartment.

But despite this seemingly irrefutable evidence, Burrows claimed that he did not kill Steadman. He was indeed at that fateful location that day. However, he did not shoot the victim because he was already dead.

A few days before the incident, Lincoln received a call from his creditor who said he could write off his debt if he killed a drug dealer. That's why he was at the crime scene with a gun.

Now Burrows was sure that he had been set up. And now someone very influential wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible and send him to the electric chair.
