Narrative:

The action of the series "Settlers" takes place in our time. In a high-security colony near Moscow, two prisoners became the instigators of a riot. In the resulting turmoil they managed to disarm the guard, seize his service weapon and escape. They were joined by three more convicts.....

Two special groups under the command of Menshikh and Kornilov were sent to catch the criminals. In the village of Shchegly, the fugitives infiltrate a roadside cafe and take hostages.

The special groups that arrived on the scene are ready to storm the place, but the commanders of the squads have different views on the situation. Menshikh is in favor of an immediate assault, while Kornilov, realizing that this will result in the death of the hostages, tries to convince his colleague to enter into negotiations.

However, Menshikh does not listen to Kornilov's opinion and begins an assault, during which several people are killed...

After the operation, Kornilov goes to all the authorities, demanding the punishment of the Lesser, but instead, he himself is suspended from service.

That would Kornilov, do not bother the eyes of the bosses, he is sent away from Moscow - the head of the operative part in the penal colony near Tambov. His predecessor in this position, Yegor Mesyats, mysteriously disappeared and his corpse was never found.
