Plot Text (2019 film):

The film takes place in our time. When heading to Moscow to a nightclub, Ilya Goryunov, a student at Moscow State University from Lobnya near Moscow, could not even imagine how dramatically this event would change his whole life.

During a police raid, he was arrested and falsely charged with drug trafficking and sentenced to seven years in prison.

The best years of the failed philologist are spent behind bars. During this time, his mother dies, and his beloved girlfriend has long forgotten about his existence.

Having been released, Ilya wants to meet the one who, for the sake of his own ambitions, so easily ruined his whole life. This man was the FSKN employee, Lieutenant Petr Khazin, who by that time had become a major.

Ilya only wanted to talk to Khazin, but the conversation doesn’t work out and in the fight Goryunov accidentally kills Pyotr.

Having hidden the body in a manhole, Ilya takes Khazin’s service weapon and mobile phone.

For several days in a row, he studies all the messages and fully delves into the personal life of his offender.

He learned about his difficult relationship with his parents, about his pregnant girlfriend Nina, a provincial girl, with whom his father, the general, was against marrying.

And, despite the fact that Khazin protected the drug trade and was the culprit of all his misfortunes, Ilya gradually becomes sympathetic to his enemy and even tries to save his pregnant girlfriend...
