Narrative:

The action of the movie Colonel Zorin's version takes place in the early 80s. In Moscow, an absolutely audacious robbery of a jewelry store, and soon the detectives found the corpse of one of the robbers. Having carried out fingerprinting, the detectives found that he turned out to be the previously repeatedly convicted Burov, wanted by the Kharkov police. threats.

The investigation of this high-profile case is entrusted to an experienced detective of the MUR, Colonel Zorin, for the sake of which Zorin was even forced to interrupt his regular vacation. Having studied Burov's criminal connections in Kharkov, Zorin comes across a certain Baranko, a recidivist and a thief-medievalist.

Zorin knew that Baranko has already eight years as quit the thieving craft, got a job and led the life of quite law-abiding citizen, but by circumstantial evidence, Colonel Zorin establishes that Burov in Moscow lived in Baranko.
