Plot of the film Akmal, the dragon and the princess (1981 film):
The story begins with the disappearance of Akmal, a young adventurer who often runs away from home. When he is finally found, the boy tells of a journey to a magical land.
Once there and having found his bearings, the resourceful Akmal remembered the trouble threatening Princess Guzal: at sunset she was to be kidnapped by the evil dragon Kara-Batur. Having received instructions from the wise old man, he hurried to the city to warn the residents of the impending danger.
Unfortunately, Akmal was too late. The monster had already attacked the city, carried off the princess and bewitched all the townspeople, depriving them of the ability to move. Only the ruler, the khan, managed to escape by hiding under a table during the attack.
Akmal went in pursuit of the kidnapper. The Khan, accidentally touching one of his frozen subjects, also turned to stone. On the way, Akmal met an old witch who was suffering from toothache. By pulling out her bad tooth, the boy earned gratitude and a promise of help.
Soon Akmal encountered the dragon. Unexpectedly, policeman Nureyev, who was looking for the missing boy, came to the rescue. Together, using the magic fire tulip flower, they defeated Kara-Batur...
