Plot of the film No Right to Make a Mistake (1975 film):
The film takes place in the mid-1970s. In the dock is a young worker Boris Yunusov, who is accused of murdering citizen Roman Seletsky out of jealousy.
On his day off, Yunusov went hunting at one of the country lakes, where he met his old friend Oleg Shemelin, who had come to the lake with his sisters Valentina and Yulia Zhemarina.
Boris had an affair with the older Valentina several years ago, and the guy thought that all this was in the past. But this meeting with Valentina proved once again that Boris still loved Valya.
At this time, a group of four young men were relaxing on the lake, one of whom, Roman Seletsky, began to obsessively court Valentina. A conflict arose between him and Borisov, and in the evening Seletsky's body was found in a fisherman's house with a gunshot wound, made from Yunusov's hunting rifle.
Despite the motive, the weapon of the crime, the testimony confirming the quarrel between Yunusov and Seletsky, the defendant categorically refused to confess to the crime he had committed. This forced the chairman of the court, Nikolai Aleksandrovich, to announce a break for several days.
He understood that, based on the evidence presented by the prosecution, he could already have convicted Yunusov, but he had no right to make a mistake, because it was a matter of human life.
Moreover, Yunusov was characterized both by his place of work and residence exclusively from the positive side, but the murdered Seletsky was far from a positive hero. Therefore, the judge decided to question the witnesses again, and as it turned out, not in vain, because the case took a completely different turn...
