Narrative:
The action of the film "No Right to Mercy" takes place in the late 60s of the last century in Saratov. In the workers' settlement of a mechanical plant, the body of a young woman is found, who died as a result of a craniocerebral injury.
The deceased was a plant worker and social activist Valentina Kravtsova. Hot on the trail, detectives detain a suspect who was riding the bus with Valentina that evening and got off at the same stop.
It turned out to be a doctor at the railway hospital, Fyodor Borisenko, a former front-line soldier with an impeccable and even heroic biography. During interrogation, Borisenko admits that he was seeing the woman off, but her death was the result of an accident, and he got scared and ran away.
However, the detectives were clearly confused by the fact that a front-line soldier who had several wounds and military awards, and especially a doctor, did not even try to provide medical assistance to the girl and ran away without reporting to the police.
Then the detectives decide to thoroughly study Borisenko’s biography and soon establish that this biography belongs to a completely different person, who went missing twelve years ago…
