Plot:

The film "Storm over Belaya" takes place in 1919. Mikhail Vasilyevich Frunze is appointed commander of the 4th Army of the Red Army. The commander began his acquaintance with the army by holding a military inspection and parade, which was not entirely to the liking of his new subordinates, both commanders and ordinary Red Army soldiers.

It all smacked of the old regime and officer orders, against which they were actually fighting. In addition, it turned out that the new commander was himself a former tsarist general, so most of the commanders were distrustful of Frunze.

And the commander himself was not delighted with his army, which was not only poorly shod and clothed, but also not distinguished by its drill training. But the main drawback, as Frunze believed, was the lack of strict discipline and unity of command - the foundation on which any army is based.

Despite the contradictions, Frunze manages to not only restore order in the army entrusted to him in a short period of time, but also earn authority and respect among the soldiers and commanders. And soon Frunze becomes the commander of the army group of the Eastern Front of the Red Army, in which post he develops a plan for organizing a counteroffensive.

But the plan developed by Frunze met with fierce resistance at the very top of the Red Army, where they believed that a counteroffensive could destroy the army, and ordered Frunze to retreat beyond the Volga.

In the event of a failure of the counteroffensive, Frunze would face a harsh sentence in accordance with all the strictness of wartime, and it seemed that it would be more expedient for him to follow the instructions of the center and retreat. But the hereditary military man, combat officer and revolutionary who had gone through hard labor was not afraid of responsibility for his decisions, but on the contrary, at a critical moment he took full responsibility upon himself, defending his decisions, which, in the end, led to victory...
