The plot of the movie The White Queen's Walk (movie 1971):
The action of the movie takes place in the early 70s of the last century. Stepan Chudinov, master of sports and honored coach of the USSR in skiing, suddenly announces the end of his sports career.
Despite the fact that his mentee Alisa Baburina just won the national championship, Chudinov does not see any prospects of Baburina winning the world championship, because she has almost exhausted her potential and did not want to progress and work on herself even more.
Therefore, having returned to his main profession as an architect, Chudinov goes to work in Zimogorsk. However, Chudinov cannot forget about skiing in this Siberian town, where every third person was a skier. Once, during a ski race, a schoolboy disappeared and Chudinov, together with others, took part in the search for the boy.
This search brings him together with the teacher Natalia Skuratova, in whom Chudinov unexpectedly saw great potential as an athlete. Of course, the girl lacked the right technique, but she had enough persistence, desire to work and grow on herself.
Having signed Natasha to cooperate, Chudinov returns to coaching again. Now in his plans to win not only at the All-Union competitions, but also to win the World Championship, something he could not do with Alisa Baburina...
