Narrative:

The action of the movie "The Month of August" takes place in the early 70s of the last century. Alexei Krasheninnikov is traveling around the country in search of a shelter.

His parents only have time to send him letters to new addresses: rented apartments, hostels, or generally on demand. Because of this life, the eldest daughter Galina had to live in the village with Alexei's parents.

And why? Alexei did not finish his studies in his time, he helped his parents with household chores for a long time, and meanwhile his older sisters got an education and got a good job in the city.

But at last Alexei was lucky: the factory where he had recently worked promised to give him an apartment by winter. However, at that time a letter from his father arrived, asking his son to come and help with the household chores: he was old and sick.

Taking advantage of the fact that Alexei has not had a vacation for two years, he takes a vacation and goes with his wife and son to his parents in the village. It was the month of August, but upon arrival all this, to which he had been accustomed since childhood, greatly burdens Alexei, and he does not hide his desire to return to the city as soon as possible.
