Narrative:
The action of the film "Empty Flight" takes place in the early 60s of the last century. A young journalist from Moscow Pavel Sirotkin goes to Siberia to write an article about the driver of the logging company Nikolai Khromov.
However, having delved into the situation on the spot, Sirotkin suddenly discovered that the leading production worker Khromov had achieved high performance indicators in his work, but not in a legal or honest way.
In order to exceed the plan, Khromov simply drained the gasoline and added extra kilometers to the route sheets. Not suspecting that Khromov did all this on the instructions of the director of the timber industry enterprise, Sirotkin turns to the director and tells him about his disappointing conclusions.
Then the director orders Khromov to take Sirotkin to the station, hinting that the principled journalist should not reach his destination...
