The plot of the movie Crime and Punishment (movie 1969):
The action of the movie takes place in the middle of the 19th century. The main character of the movie is a young man Rodion Raskolnikov. He is an uneducated student, living in a miserable cell and barely making ends meet. Raskolnikov tries to write articles in various newspapers and magazines, but the money is barely enough to pay for his miserable dwelling.
More and more often Raskolnikov has to resort to the services of the old interest-earning woman, giving her his most valuable things as collateral.
