1964. Information begins to reach the First Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev that behind his back, senior members of the party and the KGB are engaged in drug trafficking, have foreign currency accounts in Western banks, and invest money in profitable enterprises. But the most important thing was that, by uniting, they could try to seize power in the country.
Khrushchev himself saw that the upper echelons of the party had long since degenerated and were opportunists with a clearly capitalist predatory gut. However, he could not believe that they could plot anything against him. After all, he, far from being Stalin's main successor, managed to remove such party heavyweights as Molotov, Malenkov, Beria and Zhukov from power.
And who are these opportunists? Nobodies whom he himself raised to the very top. Without him, they are nobodies and will owe their position only to him.
In this mood, Khrushchev goes on holiday to Pitsunda, fully confident that his power is stronger than ever. Meanwhile, in Moscow, honest KGB officers are trying to prevent a conspiracy. In the fight against the conspirators, they are counting on Anastas Mikoyan.
