«Dembel не избежен» — эту простую истину знает каждый солдат российской армии. Вот и пришло, время идти на «дембель» вчерашним «дедушкам», а их место теперь займут вчерашние молодые солдаты. Странно, но теперь вчерашние «салаги»  не чувствовали обиды на «дембелей», ведь благодаря им они многое поняли, и многому научились и теперь будут передавать свой опыт новому пополнению.

The main characters of season 1: Medvedev and Gunko become junior sergeants, and now they are largely responsible for the training and education of young soldiers, and Kabanov and Sokolov receive the rank of corporal for their distinguished service. Sokolov, among other things, becomes a quartermaster - assistant to the sergeant major, warrant officer Shmatko. Another newly-minted "grandfather" Vakutagin took up an equally "fishy" position in the kitchen.

But Lieutenant Smalkov, who has just graduated from military school and has been appointed to the position of platoon commander of the 2nd company, is trying to neutralize the zeal of the "grandfathers". Smalkov strives to change the existing order of things in the unit entrusted to him, but he encounters misunderstanding not only from his direct superiors, but also from those young soldiers for whom he is trying to stand up.

At the same time, the series shows the lives of officers and warrant officers, their everyday and personal problems, and how army ingenuity, a sense of humor, and officer camaraderie help to solve all these everyday troubles.

And finally, the frozen conflict between the deputy unit commander, Lieutenant Colonel Kolobkov, and Junior Sergeant Medvedev over nurse Irina Pyleeva is entering a hot phase. Kolobkov has administrative resources and power on his side, and Medvedev has Irina's love, but to achieve his goal, the ambitious lieutenant colonel is ready not only for meanness, but also for a crime...
