Действие фильма «Торпедоносцы» происходит в 1944 году во время Великой Отечественной войны. В центре сюжета жизнь одного гарнизона в Заполярье, где дислоцировался полк морской авиации Северного флота. Несмотря на войну, жизнь в гарнизоне идет своим чередом: люди влюбляются, женятся, разводятся, ходят, друг другу в гости.
Pilots leave for combat missions as if it were routine work, although, kissing their wives and children before leaving, each of them mentally says goodbye to their loved ones forever, because the most terrible war in the history of mankind is underway.
And so this morning, before another combat sortie, the torpedo bombers gathered in the smoking room, as if nothing had happened, joked, discussed the love affairs of their comrades. But then the order to form up, to which the army commander himself arrived. This time the regiment received an order in full force to go on a combat mission: a large German convoy had been discovered at sea…
