Narrative:

The action of the movie Proceed to liquidation takes place in 1945, when the Red Army stood at the walls of Berlin. At that time, numerous gangs consisting of criminals, fascist henchmen and deserters were operating in the territory liberated from the enemy.

The gang of Borislav Kruk, a thief-in-law who had served in the gendarmerie under the Germans, was active in Belarus. Gathering under his banners criminal scum, former Polizei and deserters, Kruk terrorized the Grodno region, attacking savings banks, warehouses and Soviet state institutions.

The MUR detectives manage to catch Kruk's accomplices in Moscow, among whom is a former aviation captain, Vadim Altunin. The brave Soviet officer, who three times filed a report for war in Spain, Mongolia and Finland, sat through the entire war in the rear, serving criminals. Before the war, Altunin shot a fellow officer out of jealousy. Thinking that he had killed his comrade, Altunin deserted from the army and joined the bandits.

Already in his cell, Colonel Danilov of the MUR informs Altunin that his former comrade is alive and well and successfully fighting at the front. Having learned this, Vadim agrees to cooperate with the investigation and informs Danilov about the appearance of the bandits in Grodno, in one of the local beer bars.

Danilov decides to take the risky step of sending Vadim Altunin, in whom he felt trust, to meet Kruk. Altunin was to transfer gold from Moscow to Kruk. Danilov entrusts Mikhail Nikitin, an operative from Tula, who was supposed to look like a criminal, to cover Altunin in Grodno.

But in the bar where Nikitin and Altunin were waiting for Kruk to appear, an unforeseen situation happened. Nikitin is recognized by one of Kruk's friends, a former Tula raider Valka Cross. A shootout ensues, in which Vadim Altunin dies. But the detectives manage to apprehend the second handmaiden of Kruk, Dmitry Blinov, nicknamed "Smoked".

From "Smoked" the detectives manage to find out the number and location of the gang, but they fail to capture Kruk there. By some special instinct the bandit sensed the danger and changed his location, leaving an ambush at the same place of parking, in which the operatives were caught.

Then Colonel Danilov plans to take Kruk for a live one. A rumor spreads in the city that the sappers have discovered a treasure - a box of gold. Soon this information reaches Kruk's informant. Having made sure that the informant took the bait, Danilov throws him another one: right in front of his eyes all the policemen were put in a truck and sent to an unknown destination. Danilov was not mistaken, Kruk took the bait, and under the cover of night Kruk's gang arrived in the city in full force....
