Narrative:

The action of the film "The Failure of Operation Ursa Major" takes place in the first post-war years. The gangs of nationalists OUN-UPA, actively supported by Western intelligence services, conduct subversive and terrorist activities in Western Ukraine.

However, both the leaders and the rank-and-file bandits understand that sooner or later they will be destroyed, so they urgently needed to prepare escape routes to the West to their new masters.

Meanwhile, the leaders who had previously fled OUN-UPA, who had now become curators of Western intelligence services, sounded the alarm, because during the war they had actively collaborated with the SS and participated in punitive operations against the civilian population, which meant that they could be handed over to the Soviet Union as war criminals.

The fears of the nationalist leaders were not unfounded, because in one of the regions of Western Ukraine there was a secret bunker, which had not yet been discovered by Soviet counterintelligence.

This bunker had everything needed for long-term sabotage and subversive work: ammunition, weapons, explosives, communications equipment and dry rations. But the most important thing was that there was an archive with lists of fascist agents, punishers and executioners, both those who fled to the West and those who remained in the USSR.

Now, after Churchill declared a new crusade against communism, a decision was made to unseal the bunker. For this purpose, Western intelligence agencies are developing an operation called "Big Dipper" and sending a special courier to the territory of the USSR...
