The plot of the movie The Great Equalizer:
After retiring from the Marine Corps, US Marine Robert McCall promised himself to live a quiet life and not get into any more trouble. Working as a loader in a hardware store was a perfect fit for that. None of his new colleagues could have guessed that a seasoned Green Beret was standing next to them.
But one day Robert had to give in to his new principles. His new acquaintance, the underage prostitute Alina, was brutally beaten by her pimp Slavi. At first, McCall tries to resolve the issue peacefully. He offers Slavi all his modest savings so that he would let the girl go.
However, Slavi refused McCall's offer, because the underage Alina brought him a good income.
Such intractability of Slavi forced McCall to act in a different way. More radical and reliable. Soon the police will find the mutilated corpses of Slavi and his guards in the nightclub.
When McCall signed up for that case, he had no idea what kind of trouble he was getting himself into. After all, Slavi and his nightclub were part of the empire of the powerful Russian oligarch and mafioso Vladimir Pushkevich.
