The plot of the movie The Last Frontier (movie 2013):

Special Agent Phil Broker of the Drug Enforcement Administration has been working undercover for several years in a gang of drug dealers. During the realization of Broker's information, the gang was disarmed, and the gang leader Danny T. is behind bars. However, his son is killed by the police. Although Broker did not shoot him, Danny promises to take revenge on Broker, whom he considered a traitor.

Broker himself believed that his colleagues shot the guy unnecessarily, because he did not offer armed resistance and was ready to surrender. After this incident, Broker resigns from the police, and retires with his daughter Maddy in a small town in Louisiana.

Here Broker planned to start his life with a clean slate, so that nobody in the town knew what he had been doing before. So Broker could live quietly and peacefully, but one day there was a small incident at school. His daughter Maddy beat up Teddy Klumma, a bully who was picking on her.

Ironically, the bully's mother was the cousin of local drug dealer Gator Bodine. And despite the fact that Broker apologized to the bully's family, his mother is not appeased. She asks Gator to scare Broker.

Gaither sends some of his goons to talk sense into Broker, but the opposite happens.

It takes a lot of training to beat up a few trained fighters. Gator figured out that Broker had something to do with the army or the police. And to find out, he sneaks into his house and searches it.

So Gator got hold of the secret documents about Broker's undercover work in the gang of Danny T. Now it was clear to him how to proceed. After all, Danny T. had long been looking for someone he believed was responsible for his son's death....
