Plot of the film Yolki 2:
The action takes place in 2011. Every year on December 31, pilot Grigory Pavlovich Zemlyanikin waits for his beloved Yulia Snegireva on Red Square under the chimes. Exactly forty years ago, in 1971, he wrote a letter to Yulia. In which he said that he would wait for her in this very place on December 31.
Much to his disappointment, Yulia did not come. However, hoping for a meeting, he came to Red Square on December 31 every year. But this year Grigory Pavlovich decided to change his tradition.
Meanwhile, during renovations in the post office building, the very same letter is pulled out from under the floor. The letter that Zemlyanikin wrote to his beloved forty years ago. It was accidentally lost and never found its addressee. But now the post office employees have decided to correct the mistake of their former colleagues and deliver the letter to its destination.

After reading the letter, and not even realizing that it was written forty years ago, Yulia rushed to Red Square. After all, she had loved only one man for all these forty years - Grigory Zemlyanikin. Many years ago, they had a stupid quarrel because of Grigory's jealousy of his cousin. Who was also in love with her.
It is unknown how this story would have ended if Pasha Bondarev, a private in the presidential regiment, who was also waiting for his beloved on Red Square under the chimes, had not learned about it.
Thanks to the young man, the news about Grigory Zemlyanikin and Yulia Snegireva spreads through people who know each other and who don’t know each other very well in different cities of Russia and by the last chimes of the clock finds its heroes…
