Narrative:
The action of the movie unfolds at the end of 1941. The Germans are preparing a decisive attack on Moscow, and for this purpose there is an active replenishment of front units and formations with material resources. The Soviet intelligence becomes aware of the fact that to realize the offensive on Moscow (Operation Typhoon), the Germans deployed a strategic stockpile of fuel and lubricants in the near rear.
In this regard, the Soviet command decides to organize the bombing of the warehouse, for which a reconnaissance group headed by Captain Valentin Suslov is sent to the rear of the enemy. Suslov carefully selects the best radio operator, sniper, sapper and guide to fulfill the task of special importance.
After several days of preparation Suslov's detachment goes to the place of fulfillment of this very difficult task, because the Germans expected such a move from the Soviet intelligence and took unprecedented measures to protect the strategic object. And to confuse the scouts, a false warehouse was built, which the Germans defiantly vigilantly guarded, while the fuel was stored in a completely different place ...
