Narrative:

In 1944, the Red Army liberated the right-bank Ukraine and reached the state border of the USSR. By this time, no one in the world had any doubts that the fate of Germany and its leader Adolf Hitler had been finally decided.

For this reason, Stalin cancels the operation planned NKGB for the physical destruction of Hitler, because he had lost his significance for Germany as a political figure and leader of the nation. With or without Hitler, Germany was doomed, and now, from a political point of view, it was important not to destroy Hitler, but to judge him before the eyes of the entire world.

Hitler himself had the opposite opinion about Stalin, rightly believing that it was Stalin who inspired the Red Army and the entire Soviet people to an uncompromising struggle, which meant that his physical destruction could turn the entire course of the war.

Therefore, soon after the meeting with Hitler, the SD developed a secret operation to eliminate Stalin called "Chinese Box". The main executor was approved agent Pyotr Gavrin, who demonstrated the best results among other candidates for this role.

In the Soviet rear, Gavrin would have to be assisted by many different agents. But the most important of them, the agent with the call sign "Gammadion", was embedded in the Soviet state security organs. Gammadion was also reported by the NKGB agent working in the SD and the detained enemy saboteur Alexander Sadkov, but none of them knew his appearance or real name.

And soon a Soviet intelligence officer reports information about the "Chinese Box" operation, and passes on the data to Pyotr Gavrin, who was the main executor of the operation. However, Soviet counterintelligence decides to hold off on detaining Gavrin for now, putting him under surveillance. After all, Gavrin is the only one who could lead them to the trail of the Gammadion agent, who had access to particularly important strategic information...
