Narrative:
The action of the movie Give me the complaint book takes place in the early 60s of the last century. A young correspondent of the newspaper "Yunost", Yuri Nikitin, returns to Moscow after a long business trip and his colleagues offer to celebrate the occasion by going to a restaurant.
However, in the restaurant "Dandelion", where the journalist friends went, they had a conflict with the staff of the establishment. It turned out that in this restaurant it was not only impossible to wait for their order, but even to make an entry in the complaint book, for which, due to poor service, there was also a queue of dissatisfied customers.
Then the friends demanded that someone from the restaurant's administration be summoned to them. The demand was heard, and the restaurant director Tatyana Shumova, a young and pretty girl, came out to them, with whom the friends decided not to have a conflict, but to go to another restaurant.
But, Yuri Nikitin decided to stay in "Dandelion" and tell the director, everything he thinks about her restaurant, however, the incident for Nikitin ended that evening in the police.
The next day Nikitin decides to write a feuilleton to the newspaper, in which he severely criticizes the terrible service in the restaurant "Dandelion". This feuilleton causes a huge public outcry, to which the trade management had to react. The reaction was traditional: to dismiss director Shumova for incompatibility with her position.
But Nikitin, who sympathized with the young manager, hurries to protect her, because such service, unfortunately, was not an exception, but rather the rule in all Soviet trade, and asks to give Shumova a chance to correct the situation in "Dandelion" ...
