The plot of the movie Decembrist (TV series 2018):
The action of the series takes place in the late 40's. Moscow City Court is considering the case on the charge of a worker of one of the plants in the sabotagewhich consisted of deliberately damaging a factory machine that was state property.
The worker Mashkov, who has a dependent wife and three young children, faces a severe punishment in the form of a long prison term with confiscation of all his property. However, his lawyer Alexei Levitsky convinces the court that there was no premeditation in the worker's actions, and the machine fell into disrepair through the fault of the foreman, who failed to take measures to replace the bearings in the machine in a timely manner.
The court takes into account all the arguments of the defense and dismisses all charges against the worker, releasing him in the courtroom. This was a triumph for lawyer Levitsky, because in political cases it was almost unrealistic to obtain an acquittal for the accused, and the lawyers themselves often did not defend their clients, but only helped to get them to confess.

However, the prosecutor Gromov, who led the prosecution at the trial, took the triumph of Levitsky's lawyer as a personal insult, especially since he dared to wrestle away his girlfriend - the secretary of the same court, Zinaida Uvarova. Therefore, immediately after the lost trial, Uvarov decides to rehabilitate himself and fabricates a criminal case against Levitsky, and soon Levitsky himself sits in the dock.
He is accused of taking a lot of money from his clients, and the witness against him is the very worker Mashkov, whom he recently saved from prison. This time the court accepted the prosecution's arguments and sentenced Levitsky to ten years in the camps with confiscation of property.
Levitsky is sent to a camp near Irkutsk to serve his sentence, and his beloved Zinaida Uvarova, like a true Decembrist, follows him to Irkutsk. Here she miraculously manages to get a job at the court, first as a janitor and then as an archivist.
Having gained access to the archive, Uvarova decides to get Levitsky out of the camp by forging a certificate of revision of his case, and to check how it works, she first forges certificates on the case of other illegally convicted. Thus, thanks to Uvarova, dozens of people are released early, but not all of them were grateful to her for this.
After all, in addition to imprisonment, people had all their property confiscated upon conviction, and once released, they simply had nowhere to go. One of these released people, realizing how she got free, begins to blackmail Uvarova, and now the Soviet Decembrist herself finds herself in mortal danger....
