Narrative:

The action of the series "Double Life" takes place in our time. In order to save her son who is ill with cancer, the investigator of the Investigative Committee, Major of Justice Natalia Pakhomova, is forced to commit an official crime.

With the money received for her son's operation, Natalia organizes the escape of one of the accomplices of the crime boss Otar Totunashvili, suspected of murdering a journalist.

Now she herself is threatened with prison, but the worst thing is that the money obtained through criminal means can be confiscated at any moment and the operation for her son will not take place. However, the FSB investigator who was developing Otar, Major Nikitin, offers Natalia a deal: she must help the investigation and lure the crime boss into an ambush.

Natalya agrees to all the conditions and lures Otar into an ambush, but his son dies at the meeting, while Otar himself manages to escape.

Realizing that Otar will take revenge on Natalia for the death of his son, Nikitin suggests that she stage her suicide. And after that, a new name, a new appearance and a new life await her, but while Otar is free, Natalia cannot feel completely safe...
