Narrative:

The action of the movie "Two Banks" takes place in the mid-80s of the last century in the Russian countryside. Having married his high school sweetheart Natalia, collective farm driver Stepan was happy like all newlyweds and never thought that someday he might have another woman.

But twelve years passed. Stepan and Natalya have a friendly and happy family, with their beloved son Vaska growing up, and it seemed that nothing could happen that could mar this simple human happiness.

But once on the road Stepan meets a young and beautiful city girl whom he has protected from hooligans. Gradually this acquaintance develops into a romantic relationship, and Stepan clearly realizes that he will not be able to treat Natalia as before.

Now everything in his once hotly loved wife begins to irritate him, and soon Stepan clearly realizes that he has finally fallen out of love with Natalia. He faces an agonizing dilemma: to stay with Natalia and suppressing his feelings to live as before only for the sake of his son, or to abandon his family for the sake of new love?
