Plot:

The action of the series «Кремнь» takes place in modern Russia. Retired GRU major Andrei Shamanov comes to a small northern town to visit his former colleague, but soon after arriving in the city he finds himself in the local police department. As Shamanov has already noticed, the power in this town belongs entirely to the police chief Gavrilov, who has imposed a tribute on the townspeople, or as Gavrilov himself said, a fair price for a peaceful sky overhead and the absence of crime.

Shamanov realized that Gavrilov acted according to the principle: “If you can’t fight crime, then you must lead it,” therefore, Gavrilov and his henchmen were the main criminals in the city, considering themselves not as protectors of the lives of the townspeople, but as absolute masters.

But Shamanov had no time to get involved in these matters, especially since Gavrilov, having checked his documents and learned that Andrei was a former GRU major, let him go. However, upon leaving the department, Shamanov discovered that he had forgotten his player in Gavrilov's office and decided to go back. At that time, the police chief tried to rape a girl, a young waitress Nastya from a cafe, whose owner had sent her with another tranche for Gavrilov and his henchmen.

Shamanov could no longer pass by such a flagrant crime, and having neutralized Gavrilov and his henchmen, he flees from the department. Gavrilov raises his entire department to its feet and rushes in pursuit, a real hunt for Shamanov begins...
