Narrative:
On his birthday, Coon declared to his mother that he was now an adult and was not afraid of anything. Then his mother instructed him to go to the pond in the evening and pick sweet sedge for dinner.
On the way, tiny Coon meets a monkey who told him that there was someone big and scary sitting in the pond, very much like a monkey. This killed even more courage in Coon, who was already very frightened, having mistaken the monkey in the dark for a scary monster with big eyes.
But there was nothing to do, because Coon bragged to his mother about his courage and could not now not fulfill her assignment, so, despite his fear went to the pond.
But when Little Raccoon bent down and looked into the water, he saw a big and scary raccoon there, and forgetting about the sedge, he ran back. On the way he met the monkey again, who advised him to take a stick.
But when Coon returned to the pond and looked into the water again, he saw that the one who was sitting in the pond had an even bigger stick. Then Coon, throwing the stick, rushed home and told his mother about everything. But strangely enough his mother was not frightened at all, and advised Coon to go to the pond again and try to make friends with the one who was sitting there. And to make friends with him, he had to look into the water and just smile ...
