Narrative:

The action of the series "The Bridge" takes place in our time. The dismembered body of a woman, Katrin Joala, who was a member of the Estonian parliament, is found on the border bridge over Narva.

However, after an examination it turned out that only the upper part of the body belonged to Katrin, and the lower part belonged to a student from St. Petersburg who had disappeared a year ago.

The fact that the student's body was frozen and discreetly dumped on the border bridge at the right moment indicated that the investigation was dealing with an experienced criminal, and one with obvious mental disorders.

And considering that citizens of Russia and Estonia were killed, the investigation is being carried out by a joint investigative team headed by Investigative Committee Colonel Maxim Kazantsev and Senior Police Commissioner Inga Veermaa.

Maxim and Inga, different in character, views and methods of work, at first find it very difficult to find a common language. However, soon such diversity of detectives brings the first fruits, because as it turns out, the killer, his victims and the detectives themselves are closely connected by a common past...
