Plot of the TV series Moths (TV series 2013):

The series takes place in 1986. High school student Alya Shirokova from Kiev goes for the weekend with her older sister Maryana to visit relatives in Pripyat.

At this time, an accident occurs at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant located near Pripyat. As a result of the explosion at the fourth power unit, a large amount of radioactive substances is released, due to which the radiation background is several thousand times higher than normal.

The first people affected by the accidents begin to arrive at local hospitals, and Maryana, being a doctor, goes to help local specialists.

After this, Alya lost contact with her older sister, and soon she learns that her father also dies during the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident. The only person close to Alya in this rapidly emptying city is the soldier Pavel, who brings her the news of her father's death.

Without having time to evacuate, Pavel and Alya try to get out of the city on their own, but during the liquidation of the accident Pavel received a large dose of radiation and now his life expectancy was calculated in several days...
