Plot:

The action of the series "Murka" takes place in 1922. In order to eliminate the bandit underground in Odessa, GPU (The Main Political Directorate) sends a detachment of illegal agents to the city under the leadership of experienced Chekist Maxim Berg.

The squad's main target was the leader of Odessa's underground gang, a burglar nicknamed "Diamond." No one knew his name, last name, or even what he looked like, so Berg's squad would have to solve a problem with many unknowns.

The detachment arrived in Odessa under the guise of a Rostov gang of visiting robbers, and in order for the local thieves to allow them to operate on their territory, the GPU sent a “run”, a thief’s receipt, received from a respected Odessa thief nicknamed “Grek” who had been arrested in Moscow.

But in Odessa, not everything went according to plan and the legend had to be adjusted on the spot. Agent Marusya Klimova, who according to the legend was Margo Dmitrievskaya, the former lover of Nestor Makhno, decided to use this trump card in negotiations with the thieves. Klimova told the bandits that Makhno was soon planning to take power in Odessa, and if the thieves supported him, they would get a big jackpot.

The bait worked, but such independence of the subordinate caused discontent among the leader of the group, Berg. However, the majority of the detachment members supported Klimova in this dispute, and Berg was removed from leadership at the general meeting of the detachment.

Now Klimova's hands were untied, and she began her main task - finding the "Diamond". By this time, she had already earned great fame in Odessa's criminal circles, received the nickname "Murka" and started a serious affair with Kostya Blank, the accountant of the major businessman Zakhariy Kardzhoglo.

It was Kardzhoglo who many considered the legendary "Brilliant", and "Murka" was no exception. But soon she realized that Kardzhoglo was just a figurehead, and that her beloved Kostya the accountant was in charge of everything, and he was the "Brilliant".
