Narrative:

The action of the film "Don't Set Traps for Leshy..." takes place in the mid-20s of the last century in Khakassia. The remnants of the White Guard gangs that had not been finished off were still appearing here. The taiga wilderness, inaccessible cliffs, and most importantly the proximity of the border made it difficult for the Chekists to fight them.

To help local security officers, Moscow sends experienced operative Zarudnev, who worked in these parts several years ago.

Even then, Zarudnev managed to introduce his agent Sygda Kirbizhekov into the gang of ataman Ignatiev, but soon this agent was accused of murdering a liaison and communication with him ceased.

After some time, the mysterious Chisayna (Leshy) appears in the area, who with his detachment confronts the bandits, but does not maintain contact with the local Cheka.

No one knew his name or surname, but Zarudnev guessed that Leshy was none other than his old comrade in arms, Sygda Kirzhibekov...
