Narrative:

The action of the series "Officers" takes place in the mid-80s of the last century. A graduate of the Institute of Military Translators, Yegor Osorgin, is sent to serve in a secret special unit of the KGB of the USSR, which was led by his father's old friend, Colonel Ivan Marchenko, call sign "Commander".

Here he meets his partner Alexander Gaidamak, with whom he will have to undergo special training together in a secret KGB training center. At first, the rich kid and general's son Osorgin could not find a common language with the simple village boy Gaidamak, but the "Commander" set the young officers a condition that either they would serve in his unit, or he would expel both of them.

Soon after completing training, young officers Osorgin and Gaidamak are sent to Afghanistan, where they participate in many combat operations and even save a young nurse, Zhenya, who was captured by the Mujahideen. But the last operation to free Zhenya was not coordinated with their superiors, so such amateur activity almost resulted in the young officers being dismissed from the special forces.

Having returned to the union, Osorgin and Gaidamak are given an almost impossible task, based on the results of which the command will have to decide whether to leave them in the special unit or expel them. The officers are ordered to check the safety of a secret train on which the missile launchers were located. But contrary to the opinion of the operation's leaders, Osorgin and Gaidamak cope brilliantly with this task, and soon they are sent to another burning point.

But before leaving, the officer friends try to resolve a dilemma: they both fell in love with Zhenya, the girl they saved in Afghanistan. Only Zhenya herself could resolve this dispute, with her choice, and while she was given the opportunity to make this choice, officers Osorgin and Gaidamak were sent to provide international aid to an African country for three years.

But while they were helping revolutionaries in Africa, a revolution took place in their country, and now it turned out that what they were doing was of no use to anyone...
