Plot:

Действие фильма «Окно в Париж» происходит в России, в начале 90-х годов. Страна на стыке двух систем: коммунизма уже нет, а капитализм только зарождается. Безработица, нищенские зарплаты, пустые полки магазинов. В это смутное время учитель эстетического воспитания и музыки бизнес-лицея имени Павлика Морозова Николай Чижов получает комнату в коммунальной квартире, хозяйка которой – старуха таинственно пропала.

On the first evening, as soon as Nikolai moved into his room, he celebrated a housewarming party with his new neighbors. Late at night, when the friends had drunk their fill, the door in the closet suddenly opened, from which the former owner of the apartment came out, frightening Nikolai and his guests quite a bit. The old woman called her cat, and when she disappeared behind the door, the friends followed her and discovered a window in the closet.

Imagine their surprise when they learned that the window from Nikolai's room leads straight to Paris. But the old woman, who appeared for the second time like a ghost, hastened to reduce the joy of Nikolai and his neighbors: the window to Paris will close in two weeks for twenty long years. Having learned this, Nikolai and his new neighbors rush to use such a lucky chance that has fallen to their hard lot...
